This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kutztown chapter.

MHN is an artist and poet whose work is inspired through real-life interactions and stories. Her poems follow a theme of growth, love, hope, joy, gratefulness, or wisdom, and her goal is to inspire her followers that it is okay to be human and feel the things they feel. Each of her poems has beautiful artwork with them that gives an aesthetic and calming feeling while reading through them. I highly recommend following her on Instagram so you can be reminded that you are worthy and you are human.

Poems about Growth

  • “Under the sun, through the rain, you will bloom all the same.”

  • “Turn to the flowers and let them remind you no matter the shadows that try to consume you, you will still grow how you were meant to.”

  • “You have not missed out on the growth that was meant for you.”

  • “You will not always feel like you are blooming and that’s okay. There will still be room for you to grow how you were meant to.”

Poems about Gratefulness

  • “Today, I am grateful for: every breath that leaves my body, the steady ground beneath me, the open sky above me, every little thing that reminds me: even here, I am free to breathe.”

  • “Today, I am grateful because I am finally starting to see: after everything I have been through, something new is stirring inside of me. There is so much more to me than who I used to be and that is a beautiful thing.”

  • “Something new is stirring inside of me. I’m grateful.”

  • “I have gratitude for how I’ve grown.”

Poems about Love

  • “Note to self: you are worthy of love.”

  • “Note to self: you have come so far.”

  • “Worthy of love no matter who does or does not notice you.”

Poems about being Human

  • “It is okay if it takes time to process things.”

  • “One day at a time. One wave at a time.”

  • “You are free to take time to just be.”

  • “It is okay if it takes time for this mountain to be climbed.”

  • “Beautiful things take time.”

I would love to keep listing her poems, but I feel that the best way to read her poems is to experience them with her drawings. Check out her Instagram and take the time to see what she has to say!
