Well J, we made it to three years.  I don’t know about you, but it has been the best, craziest, and happiest three years in my life.  It has been long, especially with you away, but we still manage to make it work.

I first want to thank you for being my best friend. I know there are moments you don’t want to hear about drama or watch me do makeup, but you push through it.  I think we both can say there have been moments where it’s been hard. Days that we struggled, and times that felt like everything in our favor was against us. But yet, here we are. Another year.  Within these three years, we have grown more into the people we strived to be in life, but also the people we want to be for each other.

Thank you for the endless laughs, support, and smiles. Even in the most difficult moments, you know how to reassure me and pull me back into reality. You have pushed me into becoming the leader I am today, and for that, I am truly grateful. I admire your dedication you have given to the Marines, and truthfully, this motivates me to aim to do better. You’ve been there for me on the hardest of days, and have made me laugh until my stomach hurt. I look forward to the future we have and a plethora of memories to make. I know whenever I am with you, it is sure to be great.

Lastly, I want to let you know how proud I am of you. Within these three years, I have watched you grown from the sarcastic, blunt teenager to a hardworking, dedicated man. You push to see the good in everyone and always look for improvement. I have seen the sparkle in your eye and heard the passion in your words when talking about the Marine Corps. You have the strongest love for our country. Nothing you do goes unnoticed.

I cannot wait to start our lives together with you home. I know it might take a second for us to adjust, but I know it’ll work out. I look forward to future trips to places like Boston and Disney, raising a puppy, and welcoming our niece into this world. Through the good and the bad, there is nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for you. Thank you being my best friend, my supporter, and the light at the end of the dark tunnel. You will never know how much you mean to me.

Happy three years, honey. I love you always.
