Spring is in the air and the snow has finally melted. This past winter has felt long and rough, especially with the pandemic going on. I know I have been running out of indoor date ideas, and am excited to finally head outdoors for new ideas. Here are some dates that can be done with your significant other or with your friends that don’t involve huge crowds or traveling:

Paint a Pot

Go to your local greenhouse/nursery and find a cute plant and a pot to put the plant in. Some plants that are easy to take care of including succulents, cactus, snake plants, Chinese evergreen, or even air plants if you don’t want to deal with the soil. Then head to the art store to get paint and brushes. Pinterest has tons of ideas of how to paint your pot, but I personally love the boho style that this board put together.

Picnics

Is there a nice 70°day coming up in the week? Grab a blanket, make a cheese board, and find a nice patch of grass to sit on. Maybe try out that TikTok trend where you use a wine glass to cut a cake with. Bring journals or sketchbooks to keep yourself busy as you let the sun warm up your body after dressing in sweaters all winter.

Hikes

Being cooped up inside all winter may have you dying for a warm walk outside. Take advantage of the nice weather and head out to a local hiking trail. Make sure to pack several bottles of water, some snacks, a first-aid kit, and let others know where you are heading.

Drive-In Movies

Drive-Ins may soon be opening, and what better way is there to watch movies while social distancing? Prep your car by gathering some thick blankets and pillows, get some candy and drinks, and enjoy a movie from the comfort of your car. Most drive-ins have double features for a decent price!
