Fairy Tales, they had been told and retold countless times and had been adapted variously in the media for decades. One story that has been getting too much attention in the media is Cinderella. While there’s no denying that her rags to riches story inspired the hearts of dreamers everywhere, there’s a concerning matter that has been retold WAY TOO MANY TIMES!

I mean, there’s too many to count; there’s the Julie Andrews, Brandy’s Rodgers and Hammerstein’s version as well as an animated series. On top of that there are television specials, multiple Disney adaptations, there’s a long list of modern adaptations from Hilary Duff to Camila Cabello.

HECK! There’s even an adaption where the gender roles are switched from the 1960 film Cinderfella to the upcoming 2022 Disney Plus film, Sneakerella.

While there has been other famed fables like Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty and the Beast, and more that got their time on the big and small screen, their stories never truly got to shine brighter like Cinderella has been given over time.

Don’t get me wrong I love her story as much as the next person, but Cinderella NEEDS to take a glass slipper step back for other fairy tales to take the spotlight.
