We’ve all been told since we were young that we need to drink 64 fluid ounces of water a day. I often find that I do not drink as much water as I should, but I’m sure I’m not alone. Here are four important benefits of drinking enough water every day. 

The first thing that I remember learning at some point in my life is that drinking a lot of water can help you lose weight. A glass of water first thing in the morning will wake up your organs and boost your metabolism. A lot of times when you think you’re hungry, you are just dehydrated. Before every meal try drinking a glass of water. It should help you chose smarter portions and healthier options. 

Another awesome benefit of drinking water is a glowing complexion. Keeping your skin and your body hydrated will help clear up any acne and give you a beautiful glowing complexion. Another way drinking water helps clear up your skin is by getting rid of toxins, which brings us to a third benefit of drinking an adequate amount of water every day. Water helps the body flush out toxins, germs, and bacteria that could make us sick. We excrete these toxins through sweat and urine. Staying hydrated is a good way to avoid getting the flu this time of year. 

A fourth benefit of drinking enough water is the way it will make you feel. Having that glowing complexion, losing weight, and feeling healthy will make you happier and more confident. Drinking water will give you more energy and focus, as well.
