If you’re like me, you love to fill your days in fall watching cozy movies and reading a good book. So, I decided to make a list of my favorite books to read during fall based off zodiac signs.

Aries – I Kissed Shara Wheeler – March 21 to April 19

Aries are bold, determined, competitive, ambitious, courageous, and adventurous. The main character in I Kissed Shara Wheeler has many of these traits. Chloe Green is determined to find Shara Wheeler, the girl who kissed her and then abruptly disappeared. She embarks on a journey with the two other people that Shara kissed, and they work together to find Shara. Chloe is competitive and ambitious; she wants to beat Shara in school for valedictorian and finally prove that she is better than her. I Kissed Shara Wheeler is the perfect story for an Aries.

Taurus – The Secret History – April 20 to May 21

Taurus are hardworking people. They like to be stable and plan things out. They are sometimes hardheaded and materialistic, but they are reliable and loyal people. The Secret History is a story about a college student who joins his school’s mysterious Greek classes. The teacher is an odd man who does things on his own terms, only allowing about five students in his class every year. Richard, the college student, finds himself in a completely different world but makes some lasting memories and friendships with his peers. The Secret History is an interesting book and I think it is a unique story for a Taurus to read this fall. Or maybe it’s just because I’m reading it and I’m a Taurus.

Gemini – Red, White, and Royal Blue – May 21 to June 21

Geminis are somewhat scatterbrained people who are playful, spontaneous, quick-witted, curious, extroverted and innovative. Red, White and Royal Blue is a story about the president’s son and the Queen of England’s son who develop a unique relationship which soon blossoms into something romantic. They have quick-witted banter with each other and are always ready to be spontaneous with one another. Red, White and Royal Blue is the perfect book for Geminis this fall.

Cancer – We Are Okay – June 21 to July 22

Intuitive, strong willed, protective, guarded Cancers are intuitive and strong willed people. They are protective, guarded, and loyal. We Are Okay is a story about a girl in college who decides to stay in the dorms for winter break. (I suppose it’s more of a winter vibe). Marin, the main character, spends her time thinking about her past and anticipating the arrival of her old best friend from home. She is an intuitive person who loves to think about things deeply. She is a guarded person but she’s loyal to her family and friends.

Leo – Twilight – July 23 to August 22

Leos are passionate, loyal, sometimes dramatic and fiery people. They are generous, sunny and big-hearted. Everyone knows Twilight and what it’s about. I think it’s perfect for a Leo. Twilight is a love story at the core and it is definitely over dramatic. It’s about passion and one could make the argument that Bella Swan is a very loyal person to her vampire boyfriend, Edward. I think that Twilight is always a fun read, and Leos should read it this fall season. Not to mention, it’s the epitome of beginning of school/autumn aesthetic.

Virgo – Pride and Prejudice – August 23 to September 22

Virgos are known for their logicalness, practicality, and sometimes a bit of a perfectionist. They are open to improvement and are willing to work to improve skills. They like to process things and keep their lives organized. Pride and Prejudice is a beautiful love story set in the Victorian era. It tells the story of a girl from a lower class family who slowly falls in love with a man from the upper class. Elizabeth Bennet, of Pride and Prejudice, is an extremely organized person who approaches life in a practical way. Virgo readers should find a relatability to Elizabeth and would love this book for their fall read.

Libra – Normal People – September 23 to October 22

Libras are intellectual people who want balance in their lives and love finding beauty in things. They are charming and beautiful and are not afraid to indulge in things that make them happy. Normal People is a beautiful story about the love that two people share over time. Connell and Marianne have a unique relationship that goes back and forth over time, both being unable to express their true feelings. The novel is a good balance between happy and sad and the story is thought-provoking.

Scorpio – Mexican Gothic – October 23 to November 21

Scorpios are somewhat mysterious people. They have a powerful presence and focus on thinking ahead. They are emotional, interesting and complicated people. Mexican Gothic tells the story of a young woman who investigates her cousin’s claims that her husband is plotting to murder her. It is a complicated story with many twists and turns and a mysterious overarching story. It is perfect for a Scorpio’s fall read.

Sagittarius – Dead Poets Society – November 22 to December 21

Sagittarius are always ready to learn and open to becoming more knowledgeable about the world. They are adventurous, funny, and honest. Many, if not all, of these characteristics can be found in the world of Dead Poets Society. This novel is based on the film of the same name about a group of students at an all boys school who continue the legacy of the dead poets society and spend their time analyzing poetry and trying to live life to the fullest. I believe this perfectly encapsulates a Sagittarius and therefore is a great book to read for fall.

Capricorn – Ace of Spades – December 22 to January 19

Capricorns are hardworking, practical and ambitious. They work hard to be successful and make it look effortless. Similarly, in Ace of Spades, main characters, Chiamaka and Devon, are intelligent students that work towards being the top of their class. They’ve both worked hard in their lives and won’t let anything, or anyone, get in their way. Ace of Spades is an intriguing story that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Aquarius – The Song of Achilles – January 20 to February 18

Aquarius are sensitive people. They are innovative and progressive, wanting to make the world a better place. The Song of Achilles is an adaptation of Homer’s classic The Iliad but told from the perspective of Patroclus as he embarks on a journey of love and honor. He meets the beautiful, and somewhat sensitive, Achilles and they form an inseparable bond. The pair fights for a better world and aren’t afraid to fight for what they want.

Pisces – Heartstopper – February 19 to March 20

Pisces are empathetic, sensitive, and intuitive people. They are known for daydreaming and being emotionally aware. Heartstopper is a beautiful graphic novel series about the love that blossoms between two friends. It has a wide range of lgbt representation and sheds light on important topics. It is an emotional series, but after reading it, it always seems to make you happier. It is the perfect fall read for a Pisces.
