This photo was taken in Flint, Michigan. I was trying to capture the children on the sidewalk tying their shoes; instead, I got a blurry vision. I believe this photogrpah describes how we see Flint. We believe we know all about what is happening, but we don’t. There is a blur and none of us can really see the individuals who are suffering in this town. There is not only a water crisis but a hunger crisis, and in that lives poverty. This photograph describes how we all see Flint, until we travel and witness the unblurred truth with our own eyes.
