This was a really hard list for me to make as I am a TV show lover until the day I die. I decided to include my top 5 couples that will always be iconic and I hope you agree too! Let’s get into it.

Cece and Schmidt (New Girl):

This is my #1 favorite TV couple of all time. To say they both had an insane amount of character development throughout the seasons is an understatement. Cece went from a sassy model to boss bartender to caring mother. Schmidt went from a b-school douchebag to a smitten Schmidt to a hyper aware father. Their relationship was based on a fling but grew to be so much more. People change and Cece and Schmidt went from my least favorite characters to my most favorite as the show progressed. They went through so much together, whether that was keeping their relationship a secret or convincing Cece’s mom that Schmidt was the right one for her. They really did that and I couldn’t be happier for them.

Monica and Chandler (Friends):

This couple definitely grew on me and it took time. But when I shipped them, I shipped them hard. Honestly, I wasn’t a huge Monica fan. She was a control freak, and cared way too much about other people’s opinions of her. Chandler was another level of weird and was absolutely unbearable when there were flashback scenes to his youth/college years. I never saw them getting together but they had some sort of trauma bond that brought them closer together, and you know what, I am here for it. They had to do a lot of sneaking around and lying, but when they were an established couple, they were really cute. All of the fans could tell they really did love each other in the most emotionally mature way, and it felt realistic and achievable. It was never toxic like some couples… When they brought the twins home (via surrogate), that was the most beautiful moment in TV history and I will never forget it.

Anthony and Kate (Bridgerton):

This couple is definitely an all time favorite. It started off with an insane amount of lust towards each other. The content was so juicy too. Anthony Bridgerton having to be married to Edwina but then falling in love with Kate. It was the love triangle that The Vampire Diaries thought they achieved, but didn’t. Their on-screen chemistry was insane, and I also really loved the build-up unlike the couple in the first season of Bridgerton. I also appreciated how they both were older siblings and connected in that way.

Mitch and Cam (Modern Family):

I’ll be honest, so many of the scenes I found entertaining on Modern Family were completely because of these two. Cam was the dramatic character that every TV show needs, and Mitch was…well Mitch reminded me of myself in my “everything sucks” era. He was sarcastic, practical, and really witty. They were complete opposites but then again, opposites attract. Not to mention, they went against all odds to make it work, even with that crazy family of theirs. Plus, adopting and raising a girl from Vietnam was probably no easy feat. The love they had for Lily was so beautiful and they gained so much respect from so many Modern Family fans.

Blair and Chuck (Gossip Girl):

Now, before I say anything on these two, I want to preface something. Yes, I do think these two are absolutely heinous characters. Do I think they are good people? Hell no. Do I think they advanced the plot? Absolutely. However, Blair and her manipulative tactics along with Chuck and his privileged bachelor lifestyle work so well together. Both of them are insufferable and that’s what makes them so great together. They could run the world in their wicked ways together. Plus, I’ll admit it: their on screen chemistry really did it for me. It felt sneaky, and evil…and I liked it. They may have made a lot of mistakes, but at the end of the day, they really loved each other in their own unique ways.
