Songs to Add to Your Situationship Playlist

Updated Published
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at KU chapter.

Urban Dictionary gives many definitions to the word “situationship,” which was originally coined on the website back in 2006, according to Dictionary.com. Combining the words situation and relationship, the word describes any relationship between two people that remains undefined with feelings involved.

As one might expect, so many emotions come from these relationships: confusion, anger, frustration, happiness, longing and some might argue love. Some people don’t mind and might prefer being in a situationship. The benefits of having companionship, yet no label and no real commitment, can be a comfortable position for some. Yet, the majority probably don’t feel the same. Especially with Valentine’s Day around the corner the question of what are we and whether it is worth it to continue are on the minds of many. These 11 songs by women artists feel like they are looking into the hearts of all women in a situationship wanting more and should definitely be added to your playlist.
