Places You Can Go In The Lawrence/KC Area This October, To Get You Into The Spooky Spirit

Now that it’s finally October, here is a list of a few places in the Lawrence and Kansas City area, that you can visit to get you into the spooky spirit.

 

Louisburg Cider Mill (Louisburg, Kansas)

The Louisburg Cider Mill has so much to offer. From a 10-acre corn maze you can explore through, hay wagon rides, freshly squeezed apple cider made right at the cider mill, and of course a pumpkin patch, the Louisburg Cider Mill has plenty of fun to offer for people of all ages.

 

KC West Bottoms Haunted Houses (Kansas City, Missouri)

When it comes to the KC West Bottoms Haunted Houses, there are 3 different ones you can go to, and they’re all in the same area.

1. The Beast: Ranked one of the Top 13 Scariest Haunts in the Nation according to its website, this haunted house has 4 floors, and is set in an open format where visitors travel through thrilling scenes, and possibly encounter a real live alligator, all while trying to escape from the Beast by either jumping out a 2-story window, or sliding down from 4 stories.

2. The Edge of Hell: Visitors will travel through dramatic scenes, and a 5-story fright from heaven, then bringing you right back to hell by a spiraling slide that seems to go on forever, with the devil grabbing your hand and pulling you right out in the end.

3. Macabre Cinema: Also set in an open format, Macabre Cinema takes you on an adventure through 4 floors of 30 scenes of classic and contemporary horror scenes in a 1930’s haunted movie theater. There is also a dungeon if you so choose to explore as well.

 

Worlds of Fun Halloween Haunt (Kansas City, Missouri)

Located at the Worlds of Fun theme park, not only will guests just get to ride rides and watch shows, but they will get to experience the scare of their life going through mazes, scare zones, and haunted houses.

 

Ghost Tours of Kansas (Lawrence, Kansas)

On the Ghost Tours of Kansas, guests will get to board a bus and take a tour (that will last approximately 2 hours long) of haunted sites around Lawrence. Some of the locations are a secret and vary, but some notable locations include, Pioneer Cemetery, The Eldridge Hotel, and Sigma Nu Fraternity.
