It’s that time of year again: midterm season. The campus is full of students sitting around cramming for their tests and working on group projects. No one loves studying, but a good study spot can significantly increase your motivation and productivity. I love finding little nooks and cute spots around campus to motivate me into being a better student. Here are some of my favorite study spots on campus!
Watson Library Stacks

This is the perfect place to go if you truly want no disruptions. There are many little nooks with isolated desks to sit at and endless stacks of books to provide you with that old-school library feel. This spot personally helps put me in a very studious headspace.
Potter Lake

This is the best spot when the weather is nice and you need to catch up on some reading. I love bringing a picnic blanket, some snacks, and occasionally some friends to relax and do some light studying or schoolwork with. If you want to change up your usual study spot, this one’s the one for you!
Top of the Oread

On a nice, sunny day the Oread’s rooftop terrace is my favorite spot to go. There is a view like no other outlooking the whole campus. It is so relaxing to sit there and catch up on some schoolwork, all while people watching from high above ground.
McClain’s Market

If you need a cup of coffee or two while studying and don’t mind some hustle and bustle around you while you’re hitting the books, this is the place for you! There is a main level and an upstairs, both of which are generally buzzing with students.
Capitol Federal Hall

Okay, I may be biased because I am a business major, but this building is so nice on the inside! It has a variety of different spots on all four levels of the building to park yourself at. There are big tables for study groups, as well as individual desks for solo studying! There are also lots of resources like desktop computers, free printing, and teaching assistants to help you with any homework questions.
