Heidi’s How-To: Put a Sassy Step Back into Your Old Heels

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at KU chapter.

As you start to think about your outfits for the spring, you start to see how outdated your clothes and shoes might be. I really like my black heels, but I needed to get them a bit of color to add some sass to them. They were just too boring for me.

So, here is the before picture of my heels. Just normal black ones.

This craft allows you to update your heels cheap!

All you will need is:

  • A pair of heels
  • Puffy paint (I used the set that had over 15 bottles including glitter and neon for $15)
  • Something to hold your heels while they dry (I used cans of soup)

Step 1: Pick out the colors you would like to use and figure out a design you would like to make. I always use the internet for design ideas.

Step 2: Apply your puffy paint.

Step 3: Once finished applying your puffy, let the heels sit and dry. My heels took about two hours to dry.

Step 4: After your heels are done drying you are free to wear them.

Enjoy your new sassy heels!
