1. Never eat pasta or pizza before you try on clothes. The carbs will cause you to bloat and you will go into a pasta-coma. I know it looks greasy and amazing, but don’t do it.

2. Starbucks is your best friend if you are shopping more than three hours. Conveniently, most malls have a kiosk.

3. If you don’t love it in the store, you wont love it when you get home.

4. Everyone needs these staples in their closet: Little black dress (keep it classy though), black blazer, a dark colored cardigan, black jeans, and black flats (All of which can be found at Target). It’s a lot of black, but it can be worn with anything in your closet.

5. Never buy items of clothing if they can’t compliment the other. Eventually you will have a hodgepodge of pieces that don’t go together.

6. If you are new to the whole shopping spree thing, try on things that you wouldn’t normally wear. They might look great on you and you were never bold enough to try it.

7. If it’s shoe-shopping day, wear flats. You’re not going to want to continually take your socks and tennis shoes on and off to try on a slammin’ pair of heels.

8. Paton leather will NOT expand. Keep some Band-Aid’s in your bag.

9. Limit how much you are willing to spend, take out cash, and leave your credit card at home. Try not to burn a hole through your wallet.

10. NEVER buy something just because they make it in your size. Everyone has a different body. Learn what looks best on your figure. For example, if you’re a tiny little thing with an athletic body, try and find something that can add shape where it really doesn’t exist.

11. And don’t buy something just because it’s on sale. It’s on sale for a reason.
