10 Times Castiel was the Most Relatable Character

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at KU chapter.

I think my fellow Supernatural fans can agree with me when I say that I’m excited Cas is back (although I’m still skeptical but that would be another article entirely). For those who don’t watch Supernatural, Castiel is a trench coat wearing angel who is best friends with Sam and Dean Winchester, the main characters of the show. He’s also one of the characters that I often find myself choking out “same” through laughs because he said or did something funny. So, in honor of him being back, here’s 10 times Castiel was the most relatable character.

1. When how he wanted to spend his last night on earth was exactly how I spend my Saturday nights.

Party? What party? No, I’ll just be in my room sitting around.

2. When he asked the one question we’ve all asked at some point in our lives.

Well? Is it? He’s asking the important questions here.

3. When he tried to open a door but then realized he couldn’t…

Aka me attempting to do anything ever.

4. When his bad cop was just straight up bad.

Again me as a student. Especially Math. Bad at everything? Sounds about right.

5. When he went a little crazy.

Crazy Castiel or college students during finals week? You decide.

6. When he was just clueless.

Honestly me when my friends try to ask me about something we went over in class that day.

7.  When his “people skills” were “rusty”.

Aren’t all of our “people skills” “rusty”? I know mine are.

8. When he reacts the same way you do when you’re insulted.

How dare you insult me? I’m a ray of sunshine!

9. When his sleep schedule is the same as every college student’s.

What is this sleep you speak of?

10. When his reaction to food was the most accurate thing ever.

Food makes me very happy too, Cas.
