Christmas season is back, therefore everything I think and write about is automatically peppermint flavored and washed back with hot chocolate. Hahahaha, just kidding. Thanks to upcoming finals, I am mainly focused on trying to take short naps and keeping tissues nearby at all times for when the frustration hits for the fifth time this hour. My Christmas peppermint dreams will come true on the day of my last final, but until then, I still need time to prepare.
So rather than continue to obsessively type and study, why not take a teeny-tiny four hour break to make some DIY gifts, because in addition to the stress from finals, if you’re like me, Dad would prefer if the credit card was not utilized in the month of December. This causes an equal, if not more, amount of stress for me.
“But Dad”, I plead, “It’s the season of giving. I simply must purchase $100 worth of Bath and Body Works hand soap, it’s the ideal gift.” His eye roll and head shake lead me to believe that my father will in fact not be receiving soap for Christmas, so I’ve defaulted to getting crafty on a budget. This one is for you, Dad, you best expect a glitter wineglass or a cupcake bath bomb in your stocking.

- Honestly, I can’t think of a time when a glitter wineglass isn’t appropriate. Whether it be your morning mimosa or your nightly tea, drinking out of a wineglass makes you feel like one classy son of a gun. But add a little sparkle? Oh man, the bar has been set high.

10. Cupcake Bath Bomb
-
The perfect gift for the brother or cousin in your life who needs to take better care of bathing themselves. Give them the subtle hint with this cute little gift.
Overall, it’s important to remember that Christmas is about the season of giving. I hope every person on your list is just thankful you took the time and effort to give them a DIY gift this year, even if the only reason for that being their Dad denied their credit card. It’s the thought that counts though, amiright?
