Name: Annette Covrigaru

Age: 21

Year: Senior

Hometown: Albertson, NY

Major/Minor: English major with an emphasis on Creative Writing/Religious Studies

Relationship Status: Taken

HCK: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done at Kenyon?

AC: Freshman year, first semester, within the first few weeks my friends and I figured out that if you take out the screen of the window you can get onto the rooftop of Gund Lounge. So we had a dance party with a bunch of freshman. Then Safety saw us on the roof and came and shut it down.

HCK:What are you involved in on/around campus?

AC: I am the co-manager of Unity House (Kenyon’s LGBT Safe House), Vice President of Black Student Union, a member of Kappa Sigma Alpha, a Peer Counselor, and a WKCO DJ. Also I’m a senior so I have school.

HCK:What’s it feel like to be a senior?

AC:I try not to think about it. It feels good, I guess, I am really excited to be a senior I just don’t like being asked the question, “What are your plans after Kenyon?” So I joke and tell them I’m going to Austin, TX and then running away to watch the World Cup in Brazil.

HCK: What’s one thing you must do before you graduate?

AC: In terms of a bucket list?

HCK:In terms of a freakin’ bucket list!

AC:I want to smoke a good cigar with PF Kluge and I bug him all time time in office hours. I want to smoke this cigar with him on the chairs outside Finn House and be in some matching-ish outfit that happens on its own anyways.

HCK: What advice you would give to underclassman/yourself as an underclassman?

AC: Academically, I would say to my younger self, “Do your goddamn readings because you’ll get bad grades if you don’t do them” So I’d basically tell myself to DO YOUR WORK in a whining voice. Socially: Don’t get caught up in drama… because that is just plain negative…

HCK:One tv character you want to get with?

AC: Alex Vause from Orange is the New Black

HCK: Favorite Meal on Kenyon’s campus (both inside and outside of Peirce)

AC: From the VI, the Mac and Cheese with the sausage and onions. Oh my gosh yes.

From Peirce, either the alfredo pasta or a giant plate of french fries with a dipping sauce made of siracha and mayo.

HCK:Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

AC:I told you not to ask me this question! I’m a senior. I don’t like this question! I’ll be 26… weird. I have no idea where I want to be, but I want to have the basics of being really happy, working for an LGBT non-profit (maybe one in New York) and hopefully I’ll have a nice lady in my life.

HCK: Favorite pick-up line?

AC: “Your voice is like the combination of Fergie and Jesus.” That’s it.

HCK: What’s the thing you’re most looking forward to over Thanksgiving?

AC:I’m excited.. I’m going to get my first tattoo. Regardless of whether or not my mom approves, but she did give me permission.

HCK:If you got to sit down at dinner with Beyonce what would you ask her?

AC: Is my body too bootylicious for you baby?
