Halloween is only days away, so if you haven’t started already, it’s time to get in the spirit! Here’s six easy ways to decorate your nails that are both adorable and festive.

1. Ghosts

Colors you need: black and white

Start by painting your entire nail white. Then, using a toothpick or a fine nail polish brush, paint two black circles at the top of your nail. Under, paint either another larger black circle or another spooky-looking face. Boo!

2. Skulls

Colors you need: black and white

These are very similar to the ghost nails, except you add a nose and a skeleton mouth after drawing the eyes. You can design the mouth however you want—the easiest way is to make tiny vertical lines. To add a little more detail, you can draw a horizontal line through these smaller lines.

3. Witches

Colors you need: green and assorted colors

Paint your nails green. Now, you have some options. With the red polish, you could draw a pair of lips in the center of your nail to create an elegant witch. Or, using a brown polish, draw a tiny broom on your nail. This is easier than it might sound; all it takes is a straight line connected to a triangle! Another option is take black polish and draw a witch hat.

4. Pumpkins

Colors you need: orange, black, and green

Begin by painting your entire nail orange. Then, take your black polish and draw jack-o-lantern faces. To add some variety, come up with a different facial expression for each nail! Top it off with a little green at the top of your nail to represent the pumpkin’s vine.

5. Spider Webs

Colors you need: white and black (or another dark color)

This one is the most detailed, but it’s still easy to complete! Start with your background color. I’d suggest using a dark color so that the white pops more, but you can really use any color you want, or a different color on each nail. Then, using the white polish, make three diagonal lines coming from one corner of your nail. Finish by connecting these three lines to each other and the side or your nail with small white lines.

6. Candy Corn

Colors you need: white, yellow, and orange

This design is the easiest of all! Start by painting your nails white. Then, use a piece of tape to cover 1/3 of your nail. Then paint your nails yellow and remove the take when you’re finished. (Make sure both coats of polish are completely dry first, otherwise when you take the tape off it will pull off your polish!) Repeat with the orange polish, except cover about 2/3 of your nail with tape. Voilà!
