Okay, ladies. It’s a Friday night, and you’ve been waiting all week to get your party on. You’re dressed up, make-up’s done, and the booze is chilled. The only thing that’s missing:  some music to knock down the walls. This is where we come in: since different people like getting tipsy to different tunes, here are three playlists, pre-made FOR YA, for the various pregaming scenes you may encounter. Keeping in mind that each person has a different taste in music, we’ve included a variety of genres within each playlist.

Tequila/Vodka/Jello Shots- the “Shots” Playlist

For those who pound shots back, here are some songs to keep you going. Each of these songs has an up-beat tempo to keep your energy levels up all night! Because after all, once you’ve had a few too many shots, you need those motivational songs playing to keep on going, you party animal, you.
Thrift Shop- Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are just now getting big- keep them on your radar! Ryan makes the beats and Macklemore carries it with those irresistible lyrics.
Work Hard Play Hard- Wiz Khalifa
Because if you look up the phrase “Work Hard, Play Hard,” Kenyon students define it.
Clique- Kanye West, Big Sean, Jay-Z
C’mon it’s Kanye. I couldn’t resist. I dare you to make a drinking game out of this, I dare you.
2 Reasons- Trey Songz ft T.I
I’ll give you a hint: the two reasons are “b*tches and drinks”
Up All Night- Mac Miller
As a Mac fan (I met him at his concert in Columbus, OH), these two songs hit both ends of the music spectrum- party animal and “screw you.” So it matters the mood you’re in… but either one makes for a good night
Smile Back- Mac Miller
Half Naked and Almost Famous- MGK
An artist from Shaker Heights, OH! And he knows how to work a beat.
Slight Work- Wale ft. Big Sean
If you don’t know about Wale, you can thank me later.
Want U Back- Cher Lloyd
If you’ve had a rough day/breakup- this song’s where it’s at. Here’s to you.
You’re Gonna Love This 3OH3!
It’s self-explanatory: you’re gonna love this song.

Beer- the “Chill” Playlist

Not everyone has the opportunity (or the cash) to buy some vodka. This is the College Classic playlist, one centered around beer and some good conversation.
Sexual Seduction-Skrillex Remix
Remember back in ’08 when the original came out with Snoop? Well here’s a chill version you can play while talking to your crush
Feel So Close- Calvin Harris
Gifted- NASA ft. Kanye West
I can guarantee that after a few beers, you’ll be dancing to this song like a robot.
Cinema- Benny Bennasi ft. Gary Go
Opposite of Adults- Chiddy Bang
We all think we’re adults here. But sometimes its more fun not to be.
Can’t Stop Me- Afrojack
This song will define your night- you won’t be stopped… probably from doing all those crazy things you’ll regret tomorrow.
Turn It Down- Kaskade ft Rebecca and Fiona
Just listen to it. Just do it. No questions.
Sweat- Snoop Dogg ft. David Guetta
Illest B*tch- Wale
This is probably the “odd ball” of the group here. However, by the end of the night you’ll be calling yourself “Kenyon’s Illest B*tch”
And the classic: I Love College- Asher Roth
Everyone’s gotta sing along to this, whether they’re sober or not.

Wine/Sangria- “Classy Playlist”

Being the classy Kenyonites we are, we don’t always pregame with pounding back shots. Sometimes we take another route to tipsiness. This entire playlist allows you to time-travel with a glass of wine, some sangria, and relaxing music. So sit back and unwind.

Sway- Dean Martin
My Way- Frank Sinatra
Come Fly With Me- Frank Sinatra
Feeling Good- Michael Buble
Have you seen his face?
Who Says- John Mayer
Unforgettable- Nat King Cole
They Can’t Take That Away From Me- Ella Fitzgerald
Dream A Little Dream of Me- Ella Fitzgerald
As Time Goes By- Frank Sinatra
I’ll be Seeing You- Billie Holiday

 Bottoms up! ;)
