Oy, with the poodles already! In case you’ve been living under a rock, let me fill you in on a little secret: Gilmore Girls is make an exclusive comeback on Netflix. That’s right, you can forget the mixed feelings and heartbreak over the unsatisfying series finale because Lorelai and Rory are coming back in four, 90-minute episodes. All the favorite cast members are expected to return: Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Emily. Even April and the town troubadour are confirmed to come back.
Season 7 was kind of a mess and it left fans wanting more. For example, did Luke and Lorelai ever get married? Was Jess really Rory’s soulmate, or was it Logan? Hopefully the revival can answer some of these burning questions.
Here are some things we need to see in the show’s comeback:
An answer to who Rory belongs with
Dean, the first love; Jess, the “bad boy;” and Logan, who was never able to commit to Rory, are all coming back for the revival. Since \Rory turned down Logan’s proposal in the finale, fans have fought over who Rory belonged with. Yes, Rory is independent and doesn’t need a man, but it’s TV, and we need to put this fight to rest. Even if it’s someone new, we need answers to who Rory should be with.
Luke and Lorelai: Where are they now?
Fans waited and waited for them to get together, and then they got engaged and were planning a June 3 wedding. Everything was perfect and wonderful, until Lorelai gave Luke the ultimatum to marry her or end it. When Luke refused, Lorelai ran into the arms of Christopher. Luke and Lorelai kissed in the season finale and showed signs of a reconciliation, but we need more! We need to see the wedding and a married, happy Luke and Lorelai.
Taylor and His Town Meetings
The town meetings and Taylor were such a huge part of the show and Stars Hollow’s quirkiness. We need to see what the Gilmore girls have to say about Taylor’s crazy comments and plans for the town.
Kirk’s Jobs
It was always exciting to see what Kirk was doing in every episode. But, has he settled for one job yet? Has he given up on work? We have to know!
The Theme Song
Where you lead, I will follow. Every time the theme song comes on, even if you binge watched a season in one day, you sing along to it, and it gets stuck in your head. What is Gilmore Girls without the theme song? Will it be back?
