Every year at thanksgiving dinner my family goes around the room and says what they are thankful for. The kids say that they are thankful for their friends and family, the adults say they are thankful for the accomplishments of their kids, the gist of the whole thing always comes to the consensus that we are all thankful for each other. Even though I am and will always be thankful for my friends and family, being away at school has shown me that there is plenty more to be thankful for.
1. @KSUfreefood
The twitter account that brings you the latest and greatest updates of free food on campus. A college students two favorite things: Free and Food.
2. Boars Head Sandwiches
The only reason upper classmen still wish they lived in the dorms.
3. Having someone ‘swipe’ you a Boars Head Sandwhich
Thank you to those who have extra meal plan money.
4. Having food delivered right to you
Whether its to the dorms or an appartment, delivery is always the way to go. Taking that stereotypical college student laziness to the next level. Insomnia at 2am anyone?
5. Or any food that can be microwaved
For when you are too lazy to even make the trip downstairs to pick up a food delivery.
6. Those spontaneous free t-shirt giveaways on the K
Again, we can hear the word FREE from miles away.
7. Getting store discounts with your college ID
An extra 10% off is 10% that is still in your bank account.
8. Those heavenly “Class is canceled” emails
Who doesn’t love sleeping in? These words may be more treasured than the word FREE
9. Getting packages in the mail
Even if its just more Kleenex that you asked your parents to send you, who doesn’t love receiving a present?
10. The fact that its November and there is no snow on the ground yet
Atlest we don’t have to ice skate to class quite yet.
11. The fact that you are almost done with the semester
And the fact that you are one step closer to graduation! Whether it is your first or your last, the amount of thanks for this accomplishment never dwindles.
