Looking for fun things to do in and around Kent this October? Well, look no further. Here’s your one-stop-shop for all things spooky and kooky going on this fall. 

1. Cleveland Indians vs. Chicago White Sox

When: October 1 at 3:10 p.m.

Where: Progressive Field 2401 Ontario Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44115

Why: The first day of October calls for bundling up and watching the baseball game with your closest friends.

2. Fall Festival

When: October 11 at 6:00 p.m – 8:30 p.m.

Where: Manchester field at Kent State

Why: There will be a bonfire, pumpkin painting and plenty more fun fall activities!

 

3. Boo at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

When: These fun nights will start October 13-22 and 27-29. Each night will begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.

4. Fall Hayrides

When: October 14 at 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

What: There will not only be hayrides but other fun activities like line dancing! Grab your friends and show off your best moves.

5. Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic

When: October 21 at 8:00 p.m.

Where: The Q 1 Center Ct, Cleveland, Ohio 44115

Why: A home game for the CAVS is fun so you better plan ahead and make sure you’re in the loop.

6. 5K Mummy Run and 1 Mile Fun Run

When: October 22 at 8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Where: 3227 Graham Road Stow, OH 44224

What: For all my sporty girls, this is the perfect way to get active during the best season of the year!

7. Halloween Flea Market

When: October 22 at 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Where: Now That’s Class 11213 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44102

What: It’s $1 admission to shop and buy Halloween themed novelties all afternoon!

8. Interactive Chef Demo – Featuring Pumpkin 

When: October 23 at 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Where: Eastway Center Cafe on Kent’s campus

What: A chef will teach students how to make their own pumpkin mouse and build their own parfaits. 

 

9. College Late Night Skate – Halloween Night

When: October 25 at 10:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Where: The Ice Arena on Kent’s campus

How: It’s $3 with your valid flashcard!

 

10. Tinder Horror Story Open Mic

When: October 28 at 10:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.

Where: Yuzu 13603 Madison Ave, Lakewood, 44107

What: This is guaranteed to be a fun and funny night! Plus, the top 3 stories will be picked by judges and the winner gets a $50 gift card to Yuzu.
