Coachella, a two-weekend-long music festival in the California desert, never disappoints when it comes to fashion and beauty trends. This year was no exception. Celebrities and models rocked trends both old and new, creating their own versions of “festival chic.” Take a look at the top five fashion and beauty trends from Coachella 2016.
1. Rainbow tresses
From the stage to the crowd; rainbow hair and colored tips were everywhere.
Celebs like Ke$ha, Bella Thorne and the ever so stylish Kylie Jenner rocked the colored tresses look.
2. The “band groupie” look
Graphic t-shirts were the “cool chick” alternative to last years crop top.
Concert-goers paired these t-shirts with shorts or maxi skirts to make for a stylish, yet relaxed look.
3. Bralettes
It’s simple. Outdoor music festival + hot California sun = a trendy bralette.
Bralettes are the perfect tops for dancing the day away and working on your tan.
Fearless bra-top wearers included Katy Perry, Hailey Baldwin, Taylor Hill and Kendall Jenner.
4. “Paisley lovin’”
Step aside cowboys; bandanas are no longer just for the ranch.
Stars like Rhianna, Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin were all seen wearing bandanas.
Whether the paisley fabric was worn as a headband, headscarf or a neck scarf, this trend exploded at the festival.
5. Go long!
One can never go wrong with a long, flowing skirt or maxi dress.
The maxi trend is still alive and well, my friends.
Lace, chiffon and bold prints were popular, too.
Off-the-shoulder and duster cover-ups were all spotted at Coachella.
