The Best Local Fall Festivities

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kent State chapter.

Fall activities are the best type of activities hands down! Something about all the leaves changing colors and pumpkin-spiced everything really makes my heart full and happy.

There are so many ways to get in your fix of fall fun in and around Kent! Whether you’re more of a cozy indoor person or someone who loves the outdoors, there are plenty of local activities anyone can enjoy.

Here are my top local fall festivities!

Wine Tasting at Cellar 59

Located at a beautiful 19th-century farmhouse, Cellar 59 is the perfect place to go to unwind and relax.

Their cozy atmosphere makes the perfect place to try something new, whether it is something from their plethora of wine or their selection of craft beers and top-shelf liquor. They also offer small plates to pair with the beverage of your choice!

Kingsway Pumpkin Farm

If you’re looking for an all-around place for fall fun, Kingsway Pumpkin Farm is the place to be!

They have anything you could think of from a giant corn maze, a petting zoo and a hayride that lets you stop at the pumpkin patch and pick out your very own pumpkin! You can also buy apple cider, gourds and Indian corn! It’s the perfect place for friends and family and you’re bound to feel festive when you go!

Szalay’s Farm and Market

If you’re a farmers market kind of person, you’re for sure going to want to check out Szalay’s.

They offer freshly cooked food on the weekends along with a market of fresh produce and other homemade and local treats. They also have a huge assortment of pumpkins to choose from, plenty of beautiful places to get pictures and a super fun corn maze!

Midway Drive-In Theater

Drive-in movies are a MUST in the fall!

Midway Drive-In is perfect to go see a new Halloween movie and get into the spooky spirit!

Hike the Nature Paths

Northeast Ohio is filled with plenty of beautiful hiking trails to be taken advantage of and with the leaves starting to change and weather starting to cool down, now is the perfect time!

Get out and enjoy the beautiful Ohio flora by hiking on one of the trails.

Ohio is filled with so many opportunities to have fun this fall season! Get out and get festive this fall!
