Pacific East Japanese and Malaysian restaurant

Pacific East is renowned for its diverse range of Japanese, Thai and Malaysian cuisine. From veggie sushi rolls to their delicious vegetable tempura, the vegetarian options are endless. They also specialize in boba drinks, including fruit and milk teas.

Grazers

Known for their organic and local ingredients, you can always count on Grazers for a wide range of vegetarian options. They have vegetarian desserts, vegan mac and cheese for those who opt out of dairy and much more. Four out of the six protein options are vegetarian (and vegan), making Grazers a top choice for those with dietary restrictions.

Overeasy at the Depot

Searching for a filling vegetarian breakfast? Look no further! Overeasy is easily (no pun intended) a top choice for those who don’t eat meat. Pancakes, avocado toast and the spinach and mushroom skillet, breakfast has never looked better!

Fifth flavor

Craving some dumplings or a vegetarian take on unagi don? Fifth Flavor has got you covered. A criminally underrated location downtown, the cozy vibes are immaculate. A small but mighty menu, this Thai and Asian-inspired cuisine is truly some of the best in Kent, Ohio.

Wild Goats Cafe

This hidden gem, located just across from the Cuyahoga River, has an endless supply of meat-free selections. From a classic egg breakfast to plant-based chicken and yogurt parfaits, Wild Goats Cafe is every vegetarian’s dream (at least mine). And, if any of you are a boba lover, like myself, you will surely enjoy the giant selection of boba drinks.

Alley Mac

Craving a good mac and cheese, but don’t know where to look? Alley Mac has you covered. Known for their unique mac and cheeses and sandwiches, you can truly never go wrong with this spot. You will always leave full but wanting more.

The River Merchant

If you’re looking for something a little nicer than your everyday lunch spot, The River Merchant can be that for you. With their upscale menu, but continuing to include something anyone would enjoy, this local spot is for everyone. Craving a nice warm soup? A delicious linguine pasta? Check it out!

Troy Grille

Last but definitely not least, we have the Troy Grille. Known for its Turkish cuisine, this restaurant is certainly a staple downtown. With some of the best falafel and hummus in the area, they know how to make an impact. Not a fan of chickpeas? Try the grilled halloumi cheese sub. This spot is a great addition to downtown Kent, and it really pieces together the food scene.
