Kevin Hart to Take on Kent State

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has kicked off his college tour and, thanks to Kent State USG, we’re his next stop!

Kent State has brought in a number of great performers in the past, but according to USG Director of Programming, Kevin Otubu, the success of Hart’s upcoming performance is unrivaled. “We’ve never had something like this before where it sold out so quickly,” he said.

Many of us know Hart from Let Me Explain (2013), Laugh at My Pain (2011), Think Like a Man (2012), and Ride Along (2014). This year alone, he has won a handful of awards including the Teen Choice Award for Choice Comedian and the NAACP Image Award for Entertainer of the Year. If you’ve been to the movies lately, then you know that Hart is also set to star in a number of films throughout the beginning of 2015.

Otubu attributes this university’s ability to bring in big-name talent to the diligence of his board, a great track record with past shows, and USG’s agent. He assures us that “while we are promoting the events we are still meeting trying to think of who we are going to bring next.” It’s not official yet, but Otubu and his board are currently looking into entertainment for the beginning of next semester.

If you were lucky enough to get your hands on tickets to this Saturday’s event, doors to the M.A.C. open at 9:00 PM and the show begins at 10:30. Be ready to laugh!

Alright, alright, alrightttt.
