This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kent State chapter.

As spring semester begins on Kent Campus, student’s parade down the Esplanade in furry jackets, scarves, gloves, hats, and thick boots to protect against the cold. The weather leaves student’s locked indoors, following the same routine day in and day out. As the weeks pass by, the frigid cold slowly transforms, and students start to strip away the layers of clothing, and yearn for something to do. The start of a new season leads to the start of a new series of fashion trends, and what’s a better way to start your weekend than a trip downtown for a fashion show? On Friday, February 10th, College Town Kent will present the third annual ‘For the Love of Fashion’ event to flaunt the fashion trends of spring 2017.

After the main event, which starts at 7 PM, a retail boutique will immediately follow the show so attendees can purchase any clothes, accessories, makeup, or hair products that were featured on the runway.
