To make your adorablehanging monogram for your dorm room you’re first going to have to make a trip to your favorite craft store! I chose Michael’s! There, I bought the wooden background that you see pictured above! I chose to paint it orange! I wanted this hanging monogram to be fun and brightly colored!
Next, I found this cute wooden piece! It looks so cute behind the letters! It really adds a nice touch. I then hot glued the white piece onto the orange background! While that was drying, you can see in the picture below, that I started painting my letters for my monogram!
Finally, I love the Rose pattern by Lilly Pulitzer! It is adorable and not too difficult to paint! I did my own impression of it; of course it is not the exact replica of the pattern! I hot glued my letters all onto the white background! And wah-la! You have an adorable hanging monogram for your room! What I did to hang it was, which is not pictured, is I cut a piece of twine and hot glue the ends to the back of the orange background! When you are hanging it on your dorm room, you can hang it on a command hook. I have gotten so many compliments on mine!
This is the perfect accessory for your dorm room because you can customize it to be any colors and patterns that you want! This only cost me about $10 to make! Happy Crafting!
