Can we take a moment to appreciate Jharrel Jerome! The 2019 Emmy Awards was last weekend and the series ‘When They See Us’ was nominated for not just the series but the casting as well! The best surprise of the night was when Jharrel Jerome won his first Emmy for his nomination of the lead actor in the series! He played Korey Wise in the series and did a phenomenal job portraying the raw emotions, trials, actions, and feelings that Korey himself endured. Whew, chile, this film took me on an emotional rollercoaster! I balled my eyes out the entire series, every episode from beginning to end. Thank you for depicting such a delicate yet essential story. Congratulations on this well-deserved award, you’re more than deserving of it!
