As of April 23rd, 2021, Disney has released the final episode of its newest mini-series on its streaming platform, Disney+. A multitude of people have shared their love for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier throughout various social platforms like Twitter.

The Marvel Lore

If you’ve been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’ll know that many things, characters, and occurrences are connected throughout the films. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has plenty of connections and references to previous films in the MCU, leaving plenty of fans curious about the continuation of this Marvel lore.

The Actors/Actresses

Whether it’s for the eye candy they provide, or their acting performances, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are what bring some individuals to starting this series. Getting to see these and other actors/actresses have more screen time is something that will be sure to keep your attention.

The Chance to Learn and Hear About Mature Subjects

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for incorporating topics such as grief and working through relationships. However, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier takes this a step further. With one of the protagonists being a black man, this series doesn’t ignore this fact and constantly portrays the experience of being black. Interestingly so, it also gives the perspective of how the status of “superhero” works in tandem with race. In addition to race, this series also gives a look into PTSD and the guilt of one’s past. If you’re looking for a show that gives a proper depiction of these topics, then this may be a match for you.

The Cinematic Scenes

If you’re a movie buff, a filmmaker, editor, or just someone who appreciates the visual process of creating, this series will be sure to meet your expectations. Throughout the series, there are picturesque frames featuring beautiful skies, futuristic cityscapes, and symbolic postures. Though this is a show, the camera work is on the same level as a Marvel blockbuster. These cinematic sequences are sure to inspire.

The Transformation Stories

Another area in which Marvel excels at is telling the transformative stories of its characters. This series doesn’t fall short in this area. Both the Falcon and the Winter Soldier grow through incredible transformation stories in the span of six episodes, teaching a lesson to its viewers that change is attainable for everyone no matter our past.
