Social media, especially Tik Tok, has been a saving grace for small businesses and Atlanta restaurants during the pandemic. If you’re a food lover there a multiple restaurants for you try this year to satisfy all of your food cravings and expand your cultural palette! Here are just five options to get you started:

  1. Siete Tacos & Tequila: Marietta, GA

Siete Tacos is an artsy and creative spin on a  traditional Mexican restaurant that brings fruity cocktails and unique flavor combinations to Mexican food lovers. Having visited this location recently, I thoroughly enjoyed the guacamole and queso flight and the open flame chicken Caesar salad.

2. Hattie Marie’s BBQ: College Park, GA

Hattie Marie’s barbecue is a black owned soul food restaurant located near the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. This restaurant is known for its ribs, mac n cheese, and seafood plates. Multiple celebrities have raved about the restaurant including R&B star Jacquees and rapper, Bow Wow. Fans of the restaurant are saying Hattie Marie’s is the only stop for barbecue in Atlanta.

3. Poor Calvin’s: Atlanta, GA

Located in Midtown Atlanta is asian fusion restaurant, Poor Calvin’s. This restaurant has an array of dishes from Asian cuisine with an exquisite selection of cocktails for pairing. Looking to get your rangoon fix after seeing them on your fyp? Poor Calvin’s has a unique appetizer list that includes their lobster wontons that are made with cream cheese and garnished in their mango glaze. Among many other appetizers my personal favorite are the seafood spring rolls paired well with the red sangria cocktail. If you visit, be sure to ask about their specials and be prepared for an upscale experience!

4. Slutty Vegan: Altanta, GA

Ever wanted to try vegan food, but didn’t know where to start? Slutty Vegan is the place for you! This black-owned vegan burger restaurant has multiple locations throughout the state and offers a variety of vegan food options including a chicken sandwich, a variety of burgers, buffalo fried shrimp, pies, and banana pudding. If anything, you should try this restaurant for their variety and their quality! Most people say they can’t tell the food is vegan because it is just that good. My favorites from this restaurant are the Fuss Hussy burger and the pineapple cream soda.

Atlanta is never lacking in brunch spots and Toast on Lenox is one of many that foodies rave about on social media. Beautifully decorated and full of different brunch and drink options, this restaurant brings all the hype.
