Survival Kit for Her Campus Kean!

This week we here at Her Campus Kean received an interesting package in the mail. A survival kit sent from Her Campus National!

It had plenty of awesome swag to share with all of our Her Campus writers. Everything from notebooks to food, to help a girl survive the long day on campus.

We opened the small box first, wondering what this mysterious box could hold. Inside was a box of 12 SK energy shots!

SK energy is the perfect pick-me-up for a busy college student. It has a delicious berry taste without that crazy crash at the end. To learn more about SK energy shots check out their Facebook page.

Next we opened our box labeled “Survival Kit” and found that it was full to the brim with amazing items!

A white Her Campus backpack was on top. We came up with the wonderful idea to have all of the writers sign it and then do a little raffle to see who gets it within the Her Campus Kean club. Pictures of the bag with the signatures will be added soon.

Then we found a lot of Her Campus items, including papers and stickers. First was a postcard from Her Campus National telling us about our survival kit and how awesome it is. Then there was a Her Campus car decal, a procrastinating Audrey sticker, and finally Her Campus sunglasses. With these items we’d definitely be the most fashionable girls on campus.

Another postcard was from Poppin, a company that proves school supplies and dorm décor do not need to be boring! They sell items that all have style and poppin’ color to make you work happy.

On the promotional card Poppin gave us there was the code DORMSTYLE to share with everyone. With this code, you get $5 off when you use it on your next purchase from their website. Be sure to check it out!

Once you get your discounted items you can then Instagram your new Poppin products and use the hashtag #dormstyle to enter a contest. Don’t forget to add Poppin on Instagram, @poppin. The winner will receive a complete desk makeover. It’s all about bringing style to your workspace!

Poppin also gave us cool swag for all of our writers. At the Kean chapter, we received orange notebooks with purple gel pens. A bright and contrasting combination that works perfectly together. They’re absolutely adorable. 

 Next was a pair of red bottles of Neuro SONIC. Neuro SONIC not only has a great taste, but helps you to sustain your energy and increase alertness. This enables you to stay focused and supports your mental performance. To learn more be sure to check out their Facebook page.

Neuro also offers SONIC study breaks. This means that the Neuro company comes to YOUR campus to set up a study break lounge that includes music, a wifi hotspot, furniture, and of course Neuro give-aways! And that is only a few of the awesome things they’ll bring. It’s perfect for your sorority, Her Campus meetings, or just to have a pre-party. We here at Kean will be sure to pass the word around.

All over the box were delicious LUNA Bars. LUNA Bars help you wake up during those hard mornings or boring classes. They give you just the kick you need to make things happen. Plus they satisfy your cravings in a nutritious way!

LUNA offers a variety of bars that are both healthy and tasty. Perfect for those busy days and nights, not to mention Her Campus meetings! We received the “Smore” variety from LUNA. It’s a balanced combination of granola and chocolate that practically melts in your mouth. Yum!

Last, but not least, was a coupon from Chipolte. It’s a card where you can Buy-One-Get-One Free so you can share with your bestie! That way you can enjoy a burrito together. Also, if you text DORM to 888222 you are automatically entered to win a catered dorm party for 40! Isn’t that incredible?

As a club, the Kean chapter has agreed and decided that we will have a contest where we will give away the Chipolte coupon to one lucky Kean student. Either online or at an event, we will have that as an ultimate prize along with give-aways of some LUNA bars, the Neuro SONIC drinks, and the SK energy shots. That way we get the word out about Her Campus Kean as well as these wonderful products to the Kean community.

"Just a girl trying new things!"Brigit Bauma was born in South/Central New Jersey on a farm of all things! Now she always knew that she wasn't born for the farm life, but she gained some great experiences from growing up on one. She wouldn't trade it for the world. She graduated in the top 10 of her high school and recieved the NJSTARS scholarship to go to her community college and earn her Associates degree. Brigit at first went for Nursing, but through a hard semester, found that even though she enjoyed the people and helping others, it was not for her. Always a lover of the arts, Brigit tried out for the musical and got cast as a minor role, which was huge! This helped her find that she wanted to pursue a degree in the arts. Brigit graduated with her Associates in English and Theater. She also earned a 3.75 gpa which qualified her for the NJSTARSII scholarship which she can use to go to a 4 year public school in New Jersey and get her Bachelors degree. Because Brigit wishes to pursue an editing job for a publishing company or magazine, she decided to go to Kean which is close to the city and she can hop on a train right by her school! Brigit has lots of cougar pride and would love to share her love for the arts, fashion, boys, and college experience with everyone!
