It’s that time of the year again where Kean University gathers team of 10 in order to honor those men and women who lost their fight with cancer, and those who are currently battling, trying to fight against it. Sun. April 27,2014 will be an inspiring day loaded with activities and entertainment, where all the funds raised this day will go to the American Cancer Society. This event will be held in Hardwood Arena from 10 am to 9 pm.

Teams have been formed weeks prior to the event, and they have already begun to raise money for this event. From student groups, to Greeks, Kean has found ways to try to get every student, faculty member, and even alumni to actively participate in fund raising towards a great cause. Student government hosted a bbq outside of the University Center, in which a DJ played music, food and snacks were handed out, and many giveaways were distributed in order to raise awareness for the upcoming event.

Kean is still looking for students who would like to volunteer in setting up, cleaning up, and help smooth the progress of the event. Contact the Center for Leadership and Service if you are interested in making a difference in someone’s life.
