Must Have Scarf Patterns of Fall 2013

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kean chapter.

Fall is the best time to wear scarves. As the weather cools, scarves provide the perfect amount of protection from the chilly air while still being fashionable.

All over Kean campus students are wearing scarves. Boy, girl, it doesn’t matter!

Here are the most fashionable scarf patterns for this fall season.

Animal

Animal print scarves are really in for this fall. Whether it is cheetah, zebra, giraffe, or snake, pretty much any animal pattern you can think of works! This scarf is from Charlotte Russe for $9.99.

Floral

Floral patterns always seem to be in style. Even in the winter where there are really no flowers popping out of the ground, floral patterns still work. It depends on the colors and style. This cream color scarf with the oranges and blues is perfect for the fall. This scarf is from Sears for $9.99.

Geometric

Scarves with aztec, pixelated, or any geometric shapes are great for this fall. They are great to add to a plain outfit to really make it pop! Or maybe try to be a little more daring by mixing patterns. This cool geometric pattern scarf is from Forever21 for $8.80.

Plaid

Plaid is always, always, always great for fall. It feels like plaid patterns are pretty much the standard for this cool season. Plaid gives off a pretty, but masculine vibe that any girl can pull off. This plaid scarf is from Forever21 for $12.80.

Knit

Knit scarves are perfect from the transition from fall to winter. They keep you warm, while still being fashionable. This knit scarf with fringe is from Wet Seal for $10.90.

Solid

If any of these styles just aren’t for you, then a simple solid-colored scarf is always in style! Think of fall colors like burnt orange, deep red, mustard yellow, dark greens, and such. This scarf is from JcPenny, on sale for $9.99.

"Just a girl trying new things!"Brigit Bauma was born in South/Central New Jersey on a farm of all things! Now she always knew that she wasn't born for the farm life, but she gained some great experiences from growing up on one. She wouldn't trade it for the world. She graduated in the top 10 of her high school and recieved the NJSTARS scholarship to go to her community college and earn her Associates degree. Brigit at first went for Nursing, but through a hard semester, found that even though she enjoyed the people and helping others, it was not for her. Always a lover of the arts, Brigit tried out for the musical and got cast as a minor role, which was huge! This helped her find that she wanted to pursue a degree in the arts. Brigit graduated with her Associates in English and Theater. She also earned a 3.75 gpa which qualified her for the NJSTARSII scholarship which she can use to go to a 4 year public school in New Jersey and get her Bachelors degree. Because Brigit wishes to pursue an editing job for a publishing company or magazine, she decided to go to Kean which is close to the city and she can hop on a train right by her school! Brigit has lots of cougar pride and would love to share her love for the arts, fashion, boys, and college experience with everyone!
