Meet Elizabeth Bracey: Intern at Nusplash

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kean chapter.

Ever feel overwhelmed? Anxious? Drenched with doubt? As a college student these emotions are very current as a result of taking exams, choosing a career path and balancing out everything without losing your mind.

There are many professions in life that people chase after in this so called “journey of life.” People tend to give up their dreams and passions because of exterior and interior doubts which leave them in destruction.

“I learned no matter how much I fail never give up.”  Elizabeth Bracey says.

Bracey, who is a recent Seventeen magazine intern and senior at Kean University, was last seen mingling with the A- list at New York’s infamous fashion week. She never gave up her dreams of wanting to be a journalist.

Since freshman year Bracey’s been combating demons and conquered the skill of public speaking, socialism and writing skills.

“I learned how to use the proper AP style for journalism, and to socially interact more with others. Intellectually, I learned how to have better writing skills and to use my fast instinct to answer questions to something I don’t understand.” Bracey added.

Some of us might snarl at the idea of writing paper after paper, but Bracey shows us that writing can be turned into an entertaining and rewarding hobby.  What do you think Jay Z, Seevyn Streeter and the makers of Fast and Furious are doing? Yup! Their writing even tons more then we could even complain about.

Strength and determination is what keeps the stars going, and also Elizabeth Bracey.

When asked for a positive icon that inspires her most, she humbly replied, “Oprah Winfrey.”

Oprah Winfrey may be ancient to your ears, but she made a way where things were nearly impossible. The social skills that Oprah inherited helped her land her own talk show.

“Also, people who obtain ambitiousness inspire me to strive harder than the average person” Bracey says.

As a current writer intern at Nusplash. Nusplash is a new company which focuses on getting local news generated to the public. Bracey interviews people, operates social media and writes tasty articles for foodies.

Doubt is no longer in Bracey’s vocabulary. People grow up and do things just to obtain wealth. Dream chasers go for what they want and make it a reality.

“I believe in doing something you love, not doing something for the money.” Bracey stated.

In the field of communications, strong minds and enthusiastic personalities like Bracey’s are highly favored. In a society influenced by Facebook and Twitter, newspapers are not the only sources spilling out information to the world. Journalism is an art that has many forms.

Like everyone, Bracey still gets a little tense. She eliminates that by going on runs, hitting the mall and traveling to spontaneous getaways.

As a fellow bookworm, Bracey too loves to read and write poetry and anything that comes to mind. Writing has always been a passion of Bracey’s. Ever since she the age of five she fell into the trap of creative writing.

“No guesser my major in college would have to be writing because honestly I didn’t like anything else!” Bracey implied.

Elizabeth is expected to turn her tassel this May and obtain her degree. However, we know this will not be the last time we’re going to hear her name. Who knows, we might even see her on the inside of Vogue!
