I am writing this sat in my garden bathing in the sunshine. This makes me unbelievably excited for another summer in London. I think one of the best things about London is there are always things to do and places to explore.

Therefore, I thought I would make this list to inspire you too to explore London this summer:

  1. Picnics in the park. I think picnics may be my favourite thing to do. Grab your friends, Pimm’s (or lemonade) and a speaker, and life is blissful. Parks I intend to do this in; Regents Park, Greenwich Park, Hyde Park, Victoria Park, and St James’ Park.
  2. On rainy days, visit museums and art galleries. For example, Tate Modern, The V&A, The Design Museum, and The Photographer’s Gallery.
  3. Travel a little further out to get some more outdoors; Kew Gardens, swim in Hampstead Heath and visit Richmond Park.
  4. Go to Columbia Road on a Sunday morning to see the flower market.
  5. Go to the theatre to see a musical. Some of my favourites include Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, SIX, Waitress and Come From Away.
  6. If you fancy a night on the town, a few bars I recommend include; The Blue Post (W1D 6DJ), Tamesis Dock (SE1 7TY), SOMA (W1D 7HJ, Orbit Beers (SE17 3HD), Amie Wine Studio (SW1 9NF)
  7. Visit the Barbican Conservatory.
  8. Visit Fairgame (E14 4DH) to bring out your competitive side.
Carys Grieve is a writer at HerCampus in the heart of London at Kings College London (KCL). She expresses all silly opinions on all things style: fashion, trends, London gems and beauty secrets. Carys is completing her final year at KCL studying neuroscience (its as gross as it sounds). After graduating, Carys intends to continue her studies by completing a master’s in clinical neuroscience to get her one step closer to going into dementia research. (After travelling the world) Carys spends all her time reading and eating. She will NOT shut up about a good book and she will spend all her money on cinnamon buns (she’s trying to find the best one in London) She likes flexing that she surfed at Bondi beach and that she touched Jason Derulo.
