Breaking News! This week the Juniata Activities Board announced Mike Posner as our Major event of the year. Student reactions were mixed, but I for one, am extremely excited. A diehard Mike Posner fan since his 2010 hit “Cooler Than Me”, I vow to sing at least 3 Posner hits at Memories karaoke nights prior to his arrival on campus. I know you’re all excited….
Referencing “Cooler Than Me” in a 2010 interview in the UK, Posner stated, “A lotta people don’t know I recorded that song while I was still a student, and that I recorded it in my dorm-room on an extremely cheap microphone! So to now be hearing it on the radio in The States and over here [UK] is very special for me.” It’s pretty cool that he’ll be making a trip back to college to perform it for us!
Let’s not forget Posner’s opening act- Kris Allen! Allen is best known as the winner of the eighth season of American Idol and his lead song, “Live Like We’re Dying.” – trust me you, know it. Since these artists will be on campus I’m definitely making sure I update my music library and download their top songs.

Major Event will be on Saturday, March 29th from 7-10PM in the IM gym and you can buy your tickets in Ellis on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for Non-JC students.
