What are your hobbies?Reading, writing for HCJMU of course, pinning my interests (Get it? Pinterest?), and experimenting with makeup…behind closed doors.
How did you hear about Her Campus JMU?It was actually by accident. I found the chapters twitter page and then of course went off to the World Wide Web to find out what it was. I accidently made an account and even signed up for weekly news letters from nationals without really knowing anything about it. After digging for info I contacted the Campus Correspondents (a lot) because I just knew this is what I wanted to get involved with at JMU. It’s the first student organization I ever joined here at J Maddy.

Do you have a favorite type of article you like to write?I enjoy writing blogs the most. Sometimes I’m very opinionated and want to write from personal experiences and I feel like writing blogs give me the opportunity to do just that. Also, I get to use a lot more pictures and gifs than a serious featured article.
What are you looking forward to improving/ doing as Campus Correspondent?Well to start off, I really just wanted to get more involved with the chapter. I’ve been having such a blast these past couple months! My biggest thing would be to actually get people who want to write and move our chapter forward. I want people to know who we are an enjoy reading our articles. I love when I see friends on my timeline sharing content and knowing that we’re actually out there. I also feel like having a higher position gives me the practice I need as a SMAD major and well heck, it looks great on my resumé!
