Most people that join a sorority look forward to meeting their big, their new best friend. Well my big is one of a kind, her name is Olivia Imre. She is a rising senior majoring in health sciences and has a minor in both chronic illness and non-profit studies. She is known for her love for re-creating vines, saying “and that’s the tea sis,” and being the mom friend everyone at college needs. She is extremely sarcastic, humorous, and the best type of friend a girl can ask for because she is very protective over the people she cares about. Most of the things that she does is focused on other people, so I think it’s time to focus on her.

What are you involved with on and off campus?

At JMU, I am Director of New Members for Delta Gamma, Secretary of PAWS (Proudly Assisting and Welcoming Students- which volunteers at CHOICES and Open Houses), and I was a FROG for Frederickson Hall for the summer of 2018. Outside of JMU, I am on a Board of Directors for a non-profit and I volunteer at the RHSPCA.

What is your best memory at JMU?

My best memory is definitely a tie between being a FROG and re-making vines in the sorority house sophomore year.

Who is your biggest role model?

My biggest role model is my grandpa on my father’s side because he went through a lot growing up and managed to survive, he served his country, and became a very successful psychologist. He was also very level-headed and smart.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would go to India because the majority of my friends from home are from India. I think it would be really interesting to see all of the places they have talked about for years in person.

What’s your spirit animal and why?

A frog, specifically Kermit The Frog, sipping tea.

As you could tell from the majority of the things she is involved in, she is constantly trying to help out other people by being involved in PAWS, being in charge of the new members for her sorority, being a FROG, and being a part of a non-profit. While she is very serious about school and her friends, when hanging out with friends she is anything but serious.

My guilty pleasure is watching reality tv and living vicariously through them.
