What organizations/extracurricular activities are you involved in?

I have been a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma, a service sorority, since the fall of my freshman year. I’m in Bluestone Communications, PRSSA as the Director of Professional Development, and a Study Group Marketing Intern for the International Studies Center at JMU.

What brought you to JMU?

I ultimately chose JMU because it was a good distance from home and I knew several people from high school that was attending. When I came and saw the campus I knew it was where I wanted to be. It’s so beautiful, everyone is friendly and I had a support system of friends.

What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had at JMU so far?

I’ve had a lot of great moments here. I would have to say the first week of orientation was most memorable because of the relationships I made with my FROG group. The FROGs did a great job of immersing us into JMU culture. They made it feel like this was our place to thrive and that week propelled me to what I was going on to achieve at JMU.

Favorite place to eat on campus?

My favorite is definitely SSC, Bistro 1908. I love the three cheese flatbread.

Do you have any advice for underclassmen or rising JMU students?

My biggest advice is to do your research and take advantage of all the free resources JMU can offer. I would have been more successful early on if I knew how to get help. Get involved and take advantage of everything that’s there for you.

Plans/Goals for after graduation?

My plan is to work for a public relations agency ideally in the fashion industry. I’m looking to settle on the east coast, possibly D.C., New York, Boston or Florida.

What’s your #1 Netflix binge?

I would say Gossip Girl. I’ve seen it so many times, now it’s the show I put on in the background while doing homework or something else.

What can’t you live without?

Probably, my agenda. I always need to be organized and it helps me stay on top of things while balancing all of the things I do. I value having a strong work ethic and those organizational tools can help me be a better student, employee and member.

Fun Fact:

I’ve never eaten at Taco Bell.
