Welcome to your 20’s–when everyone starts asking what you’re going to do for the rest of your life, and really most of the time we don’t know what we’re going to eat for breakfast. The job hunt can be really stressful, but it can also be so much fun. There is a plethora of doors just waiting to be opened!

Take your time searching and researching companies and available positions. Take it seriously, and really know the information. If you find a company that you absolutely love but don’t see any available positions that fit your qualifications, don’t give up hope. Contact the “Talent Acquisition Team” (or HR), and submit your resume or ask if there’s a way to submit a general profile. There may be something you weren’t aware of, or there could be a perfectly fitting position that you may have initially overlooked.

Reach out to people on LinkedIn. There’s a reason we have these profiles and connections. USE THEM! They want to help, that’s why they’re a connection. It’s totally acceptable (and encouraged) to get information about the inner workings of a company before making choices, that way you know if you’ll enjoy your job there.

Stay positive and enthusiastic. If there’s a specific position you want, don’t give up! You can definitely find what you’re looking for, and people are naturally drawn to positive people. Keep a smile on your face and never let someone tell you that you can’t achieve the highest of all your goals.

As much as it’s exhausting, don’t let other people stress you to the max. Everything has a way of falling into place when it’s the right time for you. Keep your eyes open, and remember not to worry too much about the future. After all, we are only in our 20’s, we have time! Prove to the world that our generation has what it takes, and they ought to stop questioning our methods.

Have you ever thought "Am I the only one who..."? I'm sure you have, and I promise you're not. Live the life you love. I don't take things too seriously, because life is too short to be so obsessed with what everyone thinks of me. I became a writer so I could say what everyone else is thinking. I believe that treating others the way you want to be treated means you will never have to regret a decision you make. I make mistakes, but that's what makes great articles!
