How to Keep Busy During Self-Quarantine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JMU chapter.

So, you’re stuck at home, bored.

We’ve all been saying how we needed a break from school, but this is not what we asked for.  When we’re forced to do something that was once enjoyable it often takes the fun out of it! Although this is a difficult time for many of us, we can see the silver lining—this gives us an opportunity for self-development and personal productivity!

Here are some things you can do to be more productive during your days spent at home:

Clean out your closet, and maybe list some pieces online.

Learn a new skill through LinkedIn Learning.

Craft! Sketch, paint, create.

Learn a new recipe.

Whiten your sneakers.

Make your own face mask.

Wipe down your makeup brushes.

Facetime a friend.

Enjoy a glass of ?.

Read ahead on your assignments.

Write a blog article.

Edit your resume.

Try a new workout.

Read a book you haven’t gotten around to.

Create a gratitude journal.

Practice mindfulness meditation.

Redecorate your room.

Declutter a messy drawer.

Learn a dance.

Get some fresh air by taking a walk.
