We all know that a minimum of 30 minutes of daily exercise is the rule of thumb when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle (in addition to a nutritious diet). Yet, the cold winter weather sometimes inhibits us from making it to the gym. Here are a couple short circuit workouts that you can do in the convenience of your own home!
Rockin’ Ab Challenge:
- 30 crunches
- 1-minute plank
- 30 crunches
- 15 V-Ups
- 10 push-ups
- 1-minute plank
- 30-second side plank (one on each side)
- 30-second leg lifts
X3
The Thigh and Butt Sculptor:
- 15 squats
- 20 lunges (each leg)
- 10 side lunges (each leg)
- 25 donkey kicks
- 50 bicycles
- 20 hip raises
- 1-minute wall sit
- 15 jump squats
- Twerk to your favorite jam (put in at least two minutes, no one cares if you look silly)!
X3
Tips: Stretch before and after a workout. Work out to music that will keep you motivated. Take water breaks when necessary. If you haven’t hit the 30-minute mark, cool off with a jog.
It’s time to shape up and start sweating something other than those 20-page papers you left until the last minute. When you feel like quitting, remember what you started. Attitude and perseverance are everything. No matter how slow you go, you are still beating everyone on the couch.
