It’s the beginning of October, which means we have limited time to prepare for Halloween. Your money should not be put into costumes, but instead spent at Starbucks in Carrier or sticky nuggs at Billy Jack’s. Now don’t fret, I’ve come up with five super easy costumes inspired by my freshmen year. They’re simple, cute, and guaranteed to make Halloween weekend one to remember!

  1. Boxer – Get out your shorts or spandex, pair with a cute sports bra and you’re all set. If you want to go over and beyond then add some tape to your knuckles, use purple, black and pink eye shadow to make bruises, and use quarter length socks with your sneakers. I’ve also seen it paired with a silk robe to give that pre-fight look perfected.

  2. Commitment – Shoutout to my suitemate last year for being something truly scary to any of the boys on campus, commitment. Take an oversized white t shirt, make little rips and in big letters use a sharpie to write commitment. This can go with tights, high heels, boots, you name it! Super versatile, easy, cheap and definitely scary!

  3. Cowgirl – Grab your favorite comfy flannel and get ready for the rodeo. This can go with almost anything denim and you can’t go wrong with those white converse. To add a little extra make freckles on your face with a brown eyeliner pencil and braid your hair into two french braids. Time to hit the road again and have a good time in the cutest costume.

  4. Fairy – I’m giving away my costume this year, partly because I love you all and partly because I am very excited for it. Head over to Walmart or Target and go straight to the costume section. Now, don’t laugh, but look at the kids section and find your favorite wings. Not only are they cheap, but they’re small enough to where you won’t accidentally hit anyone when you wear them! Pair it with a tutu, tank top, and glitter. It’ll be highlight galore.

  5. Fitness instructor – Now if you’re really running out of options here is the easiest costume yet. Grab your cozy leggings, a cute sports bra and put your sneakers on. If it’s too cold add your favorite sweatshirt and you’re ready to be a fitness instructor. How nice is that? It’s fun, different, and everyone will be jealous over how comfy you look!

I already know you’ll have the best costume this year and will have saved so much money! That combination is one of the best. Cute with money? Yes, please! Stay safe this Halloweekend and have fun. Go rock your costume!
