5 Reasons Why Everyone Can’t Wait for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JMU chapter.

1. The Weather

All though summer has it’s perks…it also tends to be quite sticky. I know I’m not the only girl waiting for the crisp fall weather to settle into the school year (scarfs and boots, anyone?).

2. Themed Drinks

Okay, so maybe this is a basic one, but c’mon, who doesn’t love a PSL? Also hot cocoa and apple cider just sounds sooo much cozier than downing icy drinks to cool yourself down. Yes, I’m still complaining about this heat but I KNOW I’m not the only one.

3. Halloween

With fall also comes one of the best holidays in the books: Halloween. In college culture, most of us usually celebrate this beauty for a week straight and wear several costumes each night to celebrate. Don’t forget about all the classics that are on cable for us to enjoy with those themed drinks. Halloweentown and Harry Potter marathons are a must!

4. Cozy Coffee Dates

Even if you don’t have an SO, this one is great for hanging with the girls as well! Fall is the perfect time to meet a friend for coffee, go stargazing or even have a cute AF picnic with snacks…we have to fit in our pumpkin related treats somehow!

5. One Step Closer to Holiday Central

Once fall hits, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and other fave traditions are just around the corner. I personally love this time of year because most people are in a cheerful mood, and the food level is at 100%, especially at the dining halls. Pumpkin pie and Christmas cookies for everyone!

I, for one, sure am excited for the fall season and am counting down the days until I can make caramel apples with my friends and decorate pumpkins!

I am an English major obsessed with fashion, iced coffee, and Disney movies. You can most likely find me in a coffee shop editing on my computer, or taking #OOTD pics for my instagram.
