College is a place to find yourself, learn, grow, mature, and well…party. Nothing says college more than theme parties and there are a lot of them. Some more creative than others. Face it, after 3 years of being in college you’ve had your fair share of parties. Despite being totally into theme parties freshman year you’ve grown and are so over it. Here is a list of 10 college party themes we are so over.
Let’s start off with the generic theme parties:
1. Toga
I do not care how movies and tv shows about college have hyped this theme up it’s one of the worst most inconvenient themes out there. Drunk people and bedsheet clothing is not a good combination.
2. ABC
Anything but clothing, sounds sexy right? WRONG. Nothing like drunk sweaty college kids in caution tape and trash bags grinding to Broccoli to make your night.
3. Paint Party
This theme was really fun at first but then you realized it was only fun if you were already drunk before getting for the party. Since there is a 100% chance paint is going to get in your drink and let’s not even talk about getting back home after the party.
4. America
There is only so many ways you could wear red, white, and blue. Not to mention the amount of MAGA hats yelling “USA! USA! USA!”
5. Stoplight
The whole concept of this theme is just stupid. Green if you’re single, red if you’re taken, and yellow if it’s complicated. Like why?
Now let’s get into the more creative theme parties brought to you by your #fav patriarchal fratstars:
6. CEO’s and Office Bros
No one wants to willingly wear business attire to a party. Although my main problem with this party, like with all frat parties, is the name. The “original” or more common name for this theme is “CEOs and Office Hoes” which is just idiotic because women can be CEOs too and can probs do it better. #GirlBoss
7. Cowboy Boots and Bathing Suits
You are really running out of theme names here, aren’t you? It’s a no for me.
8. 5 Minutes Before a Porno
Like what do you actually wear in this? A delivery guy outfit?
9. Mathletes and Athletes
Nothing like getting girls to dress up as “school girls” or wear basketball jerseys with knee high socks. This is just a play up of the high school stereotype that you only really see in movies.
10. King Tuts and Egyptian Sluts
This is like all the bad of #1 and #6 combined. Just a solid no.
