Recipe of the Week: Banana Bread

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JHU chapter.

One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast, dessert, or even a snack is banana bread. I count down the days where I can go back home to a freshly baked batch of banana bread!

Below is my recipe. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed!

Ingredients:

-Ripe bananas (approximately one cup, when mashed)

-3 eggs

-1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)

-1 teaspoon of vanilla

-1 cup of all-purpose flour

-1 teaspoon of baking soda

-2 teaspoons of baking powder

-1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions:

-Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

-Mash one cup of bananas, then put them aside

-Mix the eggs, butter, and vanilla together in a bowl

-In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt

-Next, Mix the banana with the first bowl. Once mixed, pour the second bowl into this first mixture and mix.

-Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes

-Enjoy!
