On Obamacare:

“Obamacare is really I think the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery… it is making all of us subservient to the government, and it was never about health care. It was about control.”

Healthcare system = slavery? The millions of people who were once enslaved in the United States are rolling around in their graves. Obamacare has had many opponents and attacked for all sorts of reasons but this, this is something else.

Elaborating on the fact that he thinks we live in a “Gestapo age”:

“I mean very much like Nazi Germany — and I know you’re not supposed to talk about Nazi Germany but I don’t care about political correctness — you know, you had a government using its tools to intimidate a population,” Carson said. “We now live in a society where people are afraid to say what they actually believe, and it’s because of the PC police, it’s because of politicians, because of news — all of these things are combining to stifle people’s conversation.”

I will not go into details about how Adolf Hitler was able to make an entire population of people, hungry, humiliated and tired to go along with his agenda. I will say this: the Nazi regime pushed the entire world into one of the most devastating wars its ever seen, as well as one of the most horrific mass genocides. The death toll for Hitler’s “Final Solution” is as follows:

·      Between five and six million Jews

·      More than three million Soviet prisoners of war

·      More than two million Soviet civilians

·      More than one million Polish civilians

·      More than one million Yugoslav civilians

·      About 70,000 men, women and children with mental and physical handicaps

·      More than 200,000 gypsies

·      Unknown numbers of political prisoners, resistance fighters, homosexuals and deportees

While not completely innocent of all wrongdoing in its foreign and domestic policies since 1942, the United States has not controlled its citizens and the world with Nazi tools and solutions.

Part of his economic policy:

“The best policy is get to get rid of all government subsidies and get the government out of our lives, and let people rise and fall based on how good they are”

Things government subsidies go to:

·      Fortune 500 companies

·      Farmers

·      Interest on our national debt

·      Benefits for veterans

·      National security

·      School meals

·      The NFL

I’ll leave this list here and let everyone ruminate on that.

When asked how to fix the American educational system:

“I think the Department of Education should monitor institutions of higher education for political bias and withhold federal funding if it exists.”

American students aren’t performing up to par in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) when it comes to most developed countries and the thing we must worry about are the political biases of universities?

After the mass shooting at yet another school (Umpqua Community College in Oregon):

“As a Doctor, I spent many a night pulling bullets out of bodies. There is no doubt that this senseless violence is breathtaking—but I never saw a body with bullet holes that was more devastating than taking the right to arm ourselves away.”

“I never saw a body with bullet holes that was more devastating than taking the right to arm ourselves away” – if that doesn’t scare you a little, please read it again. Obama has had to make speeches countless of times because of the ridiculously high number of mass shootings our country endures. Whether your stance on gun control is “get rid of” or “tighten,” it is certainly important to be sensitive of these tragedies.
