HC Writer Bianca Galasso

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JHU chapter.

1.) Name: Bianca Galasso

2.) Major/Year: Molecular and Cellular Biology, Sophomore (2017)

3.) Hometown: Pembroke Pines, FL

4.) Affiliated With: Secular Humanists of Hopkins, Hopkins AIDS Alliance, JHU Voice for Choice, Active Minds

5.)You can probably find me on the beach with my best friend or in the library looking for something interesting to read.

6.) The best thing about Hopkins is being someplace that suits me so well. I love learning about new things, and I get to do that just about every day. I’ve also been able to make a lot of friends with people who share my interests, so every day is an opportunity for new memories.

7.) Something I’m especially proud of is making the Dean’s List last semester.

8.) Something most people don’t know about me is that I’m a huge video game geek. I’ve been playing video games since I was four, and I have an N64 with me on campus. I’ve also built my own gaming computer.

9.) This year, I hope to do really well in my classes and get a research job. I also want to participate in a lot of extracurriculars.

10.) In five years, I will be in medical school.

11.) Next up for me is continuing the promotion of mental health awareness on campus. I’ve joined Active Minds, so I hope to be able to contribute as much as I possibly can.

I'm a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. I love video games and beauty, and I write about things like makeup and fashion for Her Campus.
