Hollis Donovan, you were right. Shrek is the epitome of great film that addresses deep and underlying morals that are often brushed over in film today. Shrek is the atypical prince charming  –  unattractive, bulky, brusque, he encompasses everything opposite of the cookie-cutter model. The most prominent moral of this story is the illegitimacy of judging others for appearance only. Shrek fights his way through some muddy waters but his personality flourishes and he grows into the lovable ogre he is today.
