On Tuesday, September 22nd, the highly anticipated “Scream Queens” made its debut on Fox, and is already my favorite show of the season. With the creator of Glee and American Horror Story (two very different shows) working on the show, it is definitely different than any show on the air right now. A perfect blend of comedy and horror, Scream Queens is going to be your new favorite show as well. If you are skeptical about the show, here are a few things that will make you want to watch right away.
1. The Kappa Kappa Tau “Chanel’s”.
Emma Roberts plays a character named Chanel, the president of the sorority Kappa Kappa Tau, who leads a clique full of other Chanel’s…girls that she does not care enough to get to know the names of. The Chanel’s have different personalities but ultimately have one goal, to do anything and everything for their leader Chanel. While I cannot say much without giving away the plot, the Chanel’s are a key part of the show. You will enjoy watching them serve Chanel, hearing their funny lines, and wishing you had their outfits! Although you may not want to admit it, we can all relate to the KKT crew in some way, and you will wish you were a part of their flawless clique. #squadgoals?

2.
The character’s sarcastic and comedic lines.
The main thing that makes this show so entertaining is the script itself. There are so many different characters on the show that each of them have so much to offer. The cast of characters include: weird girls that will make uncomfortable comments, the Kappa sorority girls who constantly gossip, Nick Jonas’ character “Boone,” friends who love to talk about golf, and the average everyday people who will also contribute entertaining lines to the show. The fun part is that you will hear comedic and interesting lines from all the different kinds of characters. From Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis’ sarcastic one-liners, to Hester’s odd comments, the quotes from Scream Queens are bound to make you laugh.
3. The curiosity, horror, and the fact that it’s Halloween season.
While scream queens can be comedic, a huge part of the show that will reel in viewers is the horror. The Red Devil is constantly making creepy appearances, and the curiosity of who is behind the mask makes you want to watch until you find out. We all love to predict how shows will end, and there have already been a few cliff hangers. Watching Halloween movies or shows is always a part of my celebration of Halloween, and Scream Queens came out in the perfect amount of time to add it to my list of Halloween must watch entertainment. Some people enjoy watching shows that are scary, and some do not. Scream Queens is the perfect balance of the two, and coming up with how you think the plot will play out is always fun.

4. Nick Jonas
If you say you have not been in love with Nick Jonas since elementary school, everyone knows you’re lying. The last time I saw him act was in Camp Rock, and he has changed a lot since then. I am not going to lie, him being a part of the Scream Queens cast was a major motivation to watch the show. While he is nice to look at, he also adds a funny and adorable character to the show that may surprise us in the end. Even if you get scared easily, watching the show is worth it because of everyone’s favorite Jonas brother.

5. The star-studded cast.
Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Nasim Pedrad, and Keke Palmer are just a fraction of the celebrities you will see in Scream Queens. With a mix of more recent actors and ones we have not seen in a while, most of the cast members are pretty well known. There will be at least one person you have obsessed over at some point in life. For that reason alone, the show is worth giving it a shot. This cast is playing roles that we have not seen them play before, which makes it exciting to watch.

If you want to see what it is like living in the Kappa Kappa Tau house with a Red Devil on the loose, you can tune in to Scream Queens every Tuesday at 8pm on FOX. I promise you will not regret it!
